Top Dignitaries Gather At The 4th Abiola Ajimobi Annual Memorial To Honour His Memory.

Top dignitaries, including family members, political associates, and beneficiaries of the late Governor Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi’s benevolence, descended on his Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan today, June 25, 2024, in honour of the 4th Annual Memorial organised by the family of the late Governor of Oyo to celebrate the many legacies of the late Aare Atunluse of Ibadan. The fourth annual memorial held earlier today at the Ajimobis residence in Oluyole Estate witnessed a large turnout of people from all walks of life, including Islamic clerics, loyalists of the late politician, and family members. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late Governor, was the chief host and welcomed the guests to the 4th Annual Memorial Event. She was ably supported by her children, led by the Honourable Idris Ajimobi, the only son of the family. Expectedly, prayers were offered by the clerics to God for the soul of the late Ajimobi and the family he left behind. The occasion also presented an opportunity for the guests to reminisce about the memories of the late, brilliant administrator.

The Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation, SAAF, the organiser of the Annual Memorial, gave out checks to 25 outstanding students who emerged winners from the Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation scholarship grants. According to available information, the foundation, which was established in memory of the late Senator Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State, seeks to empower students by helping them achieve their academic dreams. For the Ajimobis, charity begins at home. And that’s why the foundation is designed for indigenes of Oyo State enrolled in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. Described as one of the most astute administrators in this part of the world, the late Ajimobi covered himself in glory while he was in the saddle as Governor of Oyo State. Clearly, he was a successful man who left his path in the sands of time.
