A few days ago, the families of Apostle Lawrence Achudume and Lawal were united as their children, Oluwatobiloba and Isreal were joined together in Holy Matrimony. The Church ceremony which took place at the popular Victory Life Bible Church International in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun state was graced by high-flying guests including prominent clerics, high-ranking politicians, captains of industry and successful businessmen who all turned out resplendently to celebrate the young, beautiful couple.

Top dignitaries who honoured the Achudume & Lawal families include the Ogun state deputy governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Olowu of Owu kingdom, Ambassador sarafa Ishiola and Chief (Mrs.) Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The colourful ceremony featured a number of prominent clerics. Out of the multitudes of clerics present at the ceremony, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun was given the officiating task and the man of God lived up to expectations. He delivered a powerful sermon, titled “Seven Things A Couple Must Do To Get It Right”.

Bishop Adelakun in his message, emphasized the importance of teamwork, prayer, and communication. He urged the couple to always pray together, eat together, have God together, discipline together, and talk together for a lasting union. Another prominent cleric, Pastor Matthew Asimolowo also took the centre stage. Speaking at the ceremony, Pastor Asimolowo advised the couple to nurture their love and affection for each other. He noted that the heart is not where it is but where it loves.

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, who expressed confidence that the couple would make a great team. He praised the couple’s families for instilling good values and principles in them and wished them a happy and fulfilling marriage.

It wasn’t all about church activities alone. The couple were treated to a lavish reception where refreshments flowed bountifully as everyone tucked in and had a good time. It was a fun-filled evening complete with good music, dance and sumptuous meals. Engr. Gideon Ikhene, in his charge to the couple, urged them to keep the flame of love burning in their hearts at all times, noting that when love appears strongest, faults cannot breed.

Apostle Lawrence Achudume, the father of the bride, expressed his joy and gratitude, saying, “We are thrilled to celebrate the union of our beloved daughter, Chidinma, and Aduragbemi. We have always known them to be a great couple, and we are confident that they will make a wonderful life together”. The couple also shared their thoughts, saying, ” We are grateful for the love and support of our families and friends. We promise to always put God first and to love and cherish each other, through thick and thin”.
