The centre of excellence, Lagos, will come alive on July 20th, 2024, as one of Nigeria’s leading lottery companies, Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited, rolls out the drums to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. The grand anniversary, tagged “two decades of creating wealth for the masses,” is scheduled to be held at the company’s headquarters, the Wesco Building located at No. 15, Adekoya Street, Bolade Oshodi, Lagos. The story of Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited at 20 is a story of resilience, determination, and the power of constancy. Since the company’s humble beginnings, Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited has grown by leaps and bounds. And today, the Wesco brand has become one of the most popular Lotto companies in Africa. What started as a dream in Benin City, where the founder of Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited, Otunba Wale Osinubi, honed his skills under the tutelage of a promoter in 2004, has become a tree planted by the river, bringing forth trees for many families to feed from across the country.

Under the guidance of Otunba Wale Osinubi, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, MD/CEO, Wesco Pools Lottery Limited has evolved and become a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian Lotto world. Incorporated in 2004 as Wesco Pools Limited, the company operated on the UK Soccer Pools for several years until 2012, when the processing for the lottery business commenced. After fulfilling all righteousness, including share recapitalization from 500,000 to 5,000,00 (five million shares), Wesco Pools Limited was rechristened Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited in 2013. In addition, Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited also got the approval of the federal government through the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Abuja, to operate lottery businesses in the 36 states of the federation. Since then, it has been a story of upwards and onwards only for Wesco Pools & Lottery Limited. The company has expanded to several states in Nigeria and beyond.

An alumnus of the University of Benin, where he bagged his B.L. degree in law, Otunba Osinubi has done well for himself and his ever-expanding business empire.
