Dr. Ayisat Gbajabiamila, a renowned medical expert and founder of the Ayisat Gbajabiamila Foundation, a non-profit organization (NGO, dedicated to the welfare of the less privileged, joined the league of people whose fathers are up in the skies. The kindhearted woman of substance lost her beloved father, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ishola Gbajabiamila, aka Baba Kaduna, who died on February 9, 2024, aged 87 years old. Described as a shining light of the Muslim faith, Baba Kaduna, according to people who interacted with him during his lifetime, lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation. He was a kind man who pursued peace with all men. It was understandable why his demise left so many people, including his children, heartbroken. He was a good man.
To honour his memory, Dr. Gbajabiamila, along with her siblings, organised a befitting 7th Day Fidau prayer for the late Alhaji Chief Abdulfatai Ishola Gbajabiamila. The 7th Fidau prayer held at Princess Lilian Health Farm in Isheri/Osun attracted the who-is-who in Nigerian high society, including revered Muslim clerics and top socialites. The turnout of high-profile personalities at the 7th Day Fidau Prayer speaks volumes about the pedigree of Dr. Ayisat Gbajabiamila. A woman of high social ranking, Dr. Gbajabiamila has carved a niche for herself in both her career and the humanitarian world. And it’s no surprise that high-profile individuals from all walks of life took time out to share in her grief and pay their last respects to one of the most important men in her life. The white-and-green-themed 7th Fidau prayer was colourful and full of prayers for the departed soul and the family he left behind. Not only that, there was plenty to eat and drink, as Dr. Gbajabiamila spared no expense in ensuring that her guests had a memorable time.
As expected, the roll call at the 7th Day Fidau prayer parades top socialites like Abbas Akande, aka Obesere, and other celebrities. The presence of media giants like the LTV Channel 8 crew and the City People Events crew also added glamour to the event. The Lagos State Government Security Team provided water-tight security at the event. And there were no ugly incidents of any sort. Cocktails were handled by Chill at Cocktails, while the sumptuous meals served at the 7th Day Fidau prayer were handled by Chef Adetutu and Chef Dayo of Amala Zone. It was truly a colourful day for Dr. Ayisat Gbajabiamila and her siblings.
