Nigeria’s Legislative Powerhouse, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola At 55

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and the biblical Solomon both have some things in common. They are both synonymous with prosperity. Like the biblical Solomon, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola is also a very wealthy man. The only exception is that Senator Adeola is married to one woman, the one and only Yeye Aremo of Yewaland, Chief(Mrs) Temitope Adeola. Described as one of Nigeria’s brightest in the legislative arm, Senator Adeola has carved an enviable niche for himself as one of the most-loved politicians in the southwest part of Nigeria. The reason behind Senator Adeola’s popularity is not far-fetched. He’s a vibrant politician who is genuinely committed to the socio-economic betterment of his people. For Senator Adeola, it’s the people first. His decades of legislative service have ushered in an era of peace and prosperity for his constituents. From Lagos to Ogun State, Senator Adeola has continued his gospel of effective representation. A man of intellect, Senator Adeola has scored many firsts. Like a man who is diligent in his work, Senator Adeola mingles in high-profile circles. At the age of 55, he has built a political structure and connections that would take any full-time politician decades to match. In his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Adeola is a big fish. He’s one of the closest legislators to President Bola Tinubu. A thoroughbred professional, Senator Adeola, FCA, is a distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. And that’s not all. In recognition of his selfless service to his country, the Nigerian government conferred on Senator Adeola the national honour of Commander of the Order of Niger, CON. Senator Adeola is a recipient of many awards, including the honourary doctorate degree from the Federal University of Oye in Ekiti State. A man blessed by God and loved by the people, Senator Adeola is an alumni of the prestigious Ondo State Polytechnic (now known as Rufus Giwa Polytechnic) where he earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting. Before his foray into politics, Senator Adeola also made a name for himself in the private sector. He led the audit team of Olatunji Omoyemi & Co. for several years as a senior auditor. He worked with The Guardian Newspapers Limited and covered himself in glory before stepping up his game. For Senator Adeola, it has been a rise-and-rise story in the last 55 years.
