Princess Moradeun Ogunlana, founder of African Women’s Health Project International (AWHPI), is described as everything a woman of substance stands for. She’s one of Nigeria’s shining lights in the diaspora, flying the Nigerian flag high globally. A woman of many parts, she’s the Chair of the of the AWHPI Global Foundation, the Executive Board of Fight Cancer Global, and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Africa 2-5-9 Project Initiative. Call her a jack of all trades and master of all. And you won’t be wrong. Dr. Moradeun is in the spotlight again. And, of course, for good reasons. She is set to lead the AWHPI Global Foundation to the Egypt Petroleum and Energy Show (EGYPES), scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. In a statement released recently by AWHPI, the US-based non-profit organisation known for its efforts on the development and empowerment of women and youths globally, announced that its founder and CEO, Princess Ogunlana, will join other prominent personalities at EGYPES 2024, which is slated for February 19–21, 2024, in the Egyptian city of Cairo.
EGYPES, according to information, is the largest oil and gas event in North Africa and the Mediterranean, attracting over 35,000 attendees from international businesses to identify opportunities and strategic priorities and gain insights into the wider energy sector. Information also revealed that the event will be held under the patronage of His Excellency, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and is supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Dr. Moradeun, a well-known humanitarian of international repute, will be accompanied to the global event by a team of AWHPI Global Foundation delegations comprising the Africa 2-5-9 Project initiative’s board members, partners, and industry professionals. Expected to join the Dr. Moradeun delegation are Dr. John K. Galiotos, Dean of Workforce Development at Southern University at Shreveport, Louisiana; Angelo Varsobia, Chairman and CEO of The Varsobia Group of Companies; Janice Jimenez, President and CEO of Regal Real Estate; Hiram Smith, President and CEO of HiramStyle Event Management; and Barrister Nkem Kemi Raji, the Nigeria Country Director of the African Women’s Health Project International. In her words, Dr. Moradeun said, “We are super delighted to be returning to the Egypt Energy Show in Cairo, Egypt, which is the epicentre for global energy dialogue in Africa and the Mediterranean.”. The Dr. Moradeun-led AWHPI Global Foundation is also expected to engage with other stakeholders, partners, and experts in the energy sector and explore the latest advancements, technologies, and solutions that are shaping the energy landscape.
