Wokcity Boss, Funmi Lewis Celebrates 60th In Bali

The name Funmi Lewis might not immediately ring a bell, but her restaurant, known as WokCity, located in the heart of the Oke Ilewo area of the Abeokuta business district in Ogun State, is a favourite destination for foodies in the Gateway State capital. For years, the restaurant owner, Lewis, has organically and strategically nurtured her restaurant into one of the best dining spots in Abeokuta. In a climate where it is a common thing for businesses to collapse, the WokCity boss has been able to navigate successfully the harsh business environment in Nigeria. The success of her brand is a testament to her resilience, business expertise, and commitment to the entrepreneurial growth of her community. Apart from serving one of the most hygienically prepared meals in town, Fadahunsi has also added value to the local economy through job creation.

A few weeks ago, the restaurant owner had a reason to smile: WokCity, Funmi Lewis, clocked the big 60. For Lewis, this is not just another birthday. This is her diamond jubilee celebration. And it’s worth celebrating. Lewis has many reasons to celebrate her voyage so far on earth, where tomorrow is not promised. A woman of special grace, God’s grace has been a constant feature of her existence, both in her business and private life. To mark the milestone anniversary, Lewis headed to Bali, outside the shores of Nigeria, where she rolled out the drums to celebrate six decades of God’s grace and kindness. Of course, she wasn’t alone. She was surrounded by her circles of friends and family members. Besides being a high-flying entrepreneur, Lewis is also a philanthropist in her own right. As a philanthropist, she always makes conscious efforts to put a smile on the faces of the common people in society.
